Behind The Scenes Of A Real Laundromat

As the weather turns cold and wet, drying laundry efficiently can become a real challenge. To help you understand what goes into making a laundromat run smoothly, we’re sharing a special behind-the-scenes look at the extensive infrastructure and thoughtful design that make your laundry experience pleasant and efficient.

Infrastructure Highlights

Heavy Duty Plumbing A laundromat requires a robust plumbing system to handle high water demand efficiently. This ensures all machines operate flawlessly, providing reliable service every time you visit. Up to 10 washing machines, 25mm water supply will suffice. If you plan on adding more machines, look at upgrading to a 40mm supply.

Efficient Drainage System Proper drainage is crucial to prevent any water-related issues. A robust drainage system keeps the space clean and safe for all customers. One again, if you only plan on installing 10 -15 washers, you may be able to get away with a 100mm drain. If you have large washers and plan to add more, you may need to look at a drain trough arrangement. You also need to look into your local water corporation since some will require a waste water cooling tank and lint filter. This varies in every state and country.

Reliable Electrical Network Powerful electrical infrastructure supports all heavy-duty machines. This guarantees that every washer and dryer operates at peak performance, delivering consistent results. 3-phase power is preferred, however not essential with modern new machines. Once you have decided on your machine list, speak to a qualified electrician to see what electrical infrastructure is required.

Gas Supply for Dryers Efficient gas supply systems power modern dryers, speeding up drying times and reducing the risk of clothes shrinkage for better results. Speak with a qualified plumber to determine what gas supply is required once you have decided on a machine list. Generally, if running natural gas, you will require at least a 40mm supply line, but this is just a rough guide and there are many more factors that go into it.

Security and Surveillance Comprehensive CCTV systems ensure a secure environment, prioritizing customer safety.

Immersive Audio System A high-quality audio system plays chilled music, creating a pleasant atmosphere while you do your laundry.

Automated Lighting and Door Controls Remotely operated door and light controls provide reliable and convenient service to customers.

Customer-Centric Design

While this infrastructure works seamlessly behind the scenes, the main focus remains on the customer. Laundromats are designed to be simple, clean, and easy to navigate. From intuitive machine interfaces to comfortable seating areas, every detail is crafted to enhance the laundry experience.
